The first step in putting any custom operating system on your One is to unlock the bootloader. A bootloader is the very first program that runs when you turn on your device. The bootloader initializes some hardware and then loads the kernel and ramdisk, and gets the boot process going. If the bootloader is in locked mode, it will ensure that only the stock operating system can run. Since you will be installing your own operating system, you need to turn this off. Luckily, Google and oneplus make it easy.
6. Tap on Install and choose the file "cm-12.1-YOG4PAS1N0-bacon-signed.zip", which you downloaded earlier and let the installation begin. Wait until the ROM is flashed and then you will see the Android Bot.
